Graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree from New College in Sustainable Planning.
Worked as an intern with Southface Energy Institute in Atlanta Georgia and later as Quality Assurance Manager for Home Energy Partners in Asheville, NC. Training from ACCA and National Comfort Institute on Mechanical System Design and Combustion Safety & Efficiency.

Trained as a Building Performance Analyst through BPI, Clay has experience in over 100 homes. Background in construction and renovations.
